Now Software folds: What other Mac CRM options do you have?

Today, Now Software announced that it was folding its operations and suspending sales and support for its product line.

If any Now Software customers are looking for a way to migrate to another platform, please let me know and I will help you with the process. You do have options, including:

  • Daylite, which has built-in migration tools for Now Software products.
  • Another excellent choice if you would like a mac-specific Software-as-a-Service solution is Elements CRM.

Again, I can help you with the migration from your existing Now Software solution. Please connect with me via my contact page.

Lastly, this blog post is not meant to capitalize on Now Software’s demise as a company. My heart goes out to the team there as well as to the previous employees.

Factually, clients of Mac CRM tools need service and support. The products I represent are backed by financially healthy companies with long-term plans for software development and support.

A little YouTube love…

One of my clients posted this fantastic video about Daylite and how it has improved her overall business management. Toward the end of the video, I receive a nice little plug.

Please check it out:

Thanks Tara!

Welcome to 2010

It’s been a long time coming, although everything I was discussing from November until now is finally complete. I have been busy working on an all-new website with tons of new (and hopefully useful) content for my clients. Further, I now have a new store for users to purchase items directly in order to make the entire engagement easier.

Two other big announcements for 2010:

  • I graduated to the Elite Partner status for Marketcircle’s Daylite which means better service for you as my experience has grown with the product.
  • I am now focusing purely on Mac CRM, and am now offering services for Elements CRM, a Software-as-a-Service/Enterprise grade Mac CRM product. You can learn more about it here.

Anyway, please feel free to click and discover around the site. I appreciate your interest and look forward to serving you better in 2010!

Matthew

A few updates

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since my last post. Most of the work has been with two new clients for Daylite as well as some writing for TheAppleBlog. Here is a link to that article:

Camtasia vs. ScreenFlow: Creating Your First Screencast

I also had the fortune to purchase the new Apple Magic Mouse. I must say, it is a very nice tool and I am thankful to have replaced the previous three-year old wireless “Mighty Mouse.” I do not miss the old mouse. The rollerball was inconsistent and the right-click was wrong at least 20% of the time. I highly recommend folks to look at the new mouse if you are in the market.

For those running Twitter, I encourage you to utilize the new Lists feature. It’s very easy to setup and it appears to be quite useful. I do hope that Loren over at Atebits gets his two Tweetie apps updated for us to leverage this new functionality.

I have also posted one new client Case Study from Nectar Communications. Please take a read here.

Back in the saddle again…

Well, after a near three month hiatus, it looks like I can begin the consulting work again. The transition from California to Florida was a little harder than expected. I was able to post a little here and there, but nothing of meaning or consequence. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll see that I have tweeted here and there, although mostly responding to other folks.

Now that I am in Central Florida, I will be reaching out to the local MUGs, as well as the local Apple Store to generate new leads and clients. For those of you who follow my blog (that number is small, I know), please spread the word about my return to consulting.

My next post will detail the tools I have been using and some recommendations on how to be more productive using the Mac.

Until then…

Hello World!

Welcome to the M Group blog, round II. This is a migration from my old blog (which was created with iWeb). The new blog is now created on WordPress – a much more powerful and flexible tool for publishing – highly recommended.

The goal of the blog is to provide advice and information on the following subjects:

  • Apple Macintosh and iPhone software consulting.
  • Hardware and software reviews.
  • General commentary on technology industry tools and trends.
  • Marketcircle Daylite and Billings consulting. For more, read here.
  • Now and then, some personal content too.

Lastly, I write articles for TheAppleBlog (you can view the most recent posts via the navigation above). You can also follow me on on Twitter.
