Consulting

Of Partnerships…

It’s been too long since I last posted (again). I admit that I am just not great at blogging. Maybe I am too old school and just like the face-to-face conversations (or phone calls). Either way, time for an update.

The Good News

Effective this week, I became a Master Partner for Daylite, which means I have over 30 implementations and the experience to help you best optimize the product for your business.

I am proud of this accomplishment because being able to help so many people use the product is just a very rewarding experience. You’ll notice the updated partner logo on my home page, although here is a quick look too:

The Other News

I have resigned from my partnership with Ntractive. They are a great team and I really like that there is competition in the market for Mac CRM. Nevertheless, my clients and prospects weren’t interested in the option. Further, spending time marketing a product that doesn’t produce any revenue really doesn’t make sense.

The Future

There is a lot more coming in the future for this little firm and I believe that the additional services will be beneficial to my existing and future clients.

Onward and upward…

Now Software folds: What other Mac CRM options do you have?

Today, Now Software announced that it was folding its operations and suspending sales and support for its product line.

If any Now Software customers are looking for a way to migrate to another platform, please let me know and I will help you with the process. You do have options, including:

  • Daylite, which has built-in migration tools for Now Software products.
  • Another excellent choice if you would like a mac-specific Software-as-a-Service solution is Elements CRM.

Again, I can help you with the migration from your existing Now Software solution. Please connect with me via my contact page.

Lastly, this blog post is not meant to capitalize on Now Software’s demise as a company. My heart goes out to the team there as well as to the previous employees.

Factually, clients of Mac CRM tools need service and support. The products I represent are backed by financially healthy companies with long-term plans for software development and support.

A little YouTube love…

One of my clients posted this fantastic video about Daylite and how it has improved her overall business management. Toward the end of the video, I receive a nice little plug.

Please check it out:

Thanks Tara!

Welcome to 2010

It’s been a long time coming, although everything I was discussing from November until now is finally complete. I have been busy working on an all-new website with tons of new (and hopefully useful) content for my clients. Further, I now have a new store for users to purchase items directly in order to make the entire engagement easier.

Two other big announcements for 2010:

  • I graduated to the Elite Partner status for Marketcircle’s Daylite which means better service for you as my experience has grown with the product.
  • I am now focusing purely on Mac CRM, and am now offering services for Elements CRM, a Software-as-a-Service/Enterprise grade Mac CRM product. You can learn more about it here.

Anyway, please feel free to click and discover around the site. I appreciate your interest and look forward to serving you better in 2010!

Matthew

A wonderful recommendation

One of my clients, Tara Reed of Tara Reed Designs wrote this on her Art Licensing Blog:

Then @mbookspan, a Certified Daylite Partner, tweeted me, offering to chat and see if Daylite would be what I needed. Well we decided it would work and I made a great decision: I bought the software from Matthew and hired him for a 2 hour “boot camp” of sorts. We talked through the computer, he took control of my mouse from 2 states away and got me all set up!  I told him what I wanted to do, he showed me how. Talk about shortening your learning curve!  With no compensation for this glowing recommendation, I would recommend anyone considering this software talk to Matthew.

Read more here. And thank you Tara!

More on the future

One of the big items I have been working on is how to extend Daylite and make it a more useful product for both my customers and potential new customers. Daylite is an incredible application, although it is not automated enough. For example, there are not enough keyboard shortcuts for navigating around the application.

As a simple workaround, I have created some QuicKeys shortcuts. If you want them, please feel free to contact me via my contact form. I do plan to make these available via a download in the re-vamp of the website. Stay tuned…

Speaking of that, I also have been working on a new design and more customer-centric web site. If you have any feedback or suggestions on my site and how I can improve it for your use, please leave a comment here on this post.

    What the future will bring

For the past few weeks, I have been taking a long look at how I am managing the business. For the most part, things are going well and I have been blessed with very reasonable clients. However, I think there are steps I must take to better improve the process in which I work with my clients.

That being said, expect M Group 2.0 to happen sometime in late 2009/early 2010. Sit tight, because great things are about to happen…
